I recently stayed at a hotel close to the train station, which I found to be a great choice. The location was perfect for exploring the city, as it was very close to the restaurants and entertainment areas, and easy to get to from the station. The room was clean and spacious, with comfortable bedding and towels replenished daily. I also appreciated the onsen and the free drinks offered in the lounge. The only downside was the lack of vegan options for breakfast, but overall, I had a pleasant and affordable stay.

The room at Kitanoniwa The Kuretakeso was cozy and had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The air conditioning was great, keeping the room at the perfect temperature. The flat-screen TV with satellite channels provided entertainment, and the laptop-friendly workspace was a big help. The private bathroom with a shower was convenient, and I loved the deep soaking bathtub. I felt relaxed and at ease in the room.
I personally didn't need or use the bidet in the room, but I understand that others might find it helpful.

Greatly enjoyed its amiable and nice staff.
Planned to see Hamamatsu major attractions and it was welcome base for visiting all of them. The restaurant was not very far from the hotel.

Had a fantastic Easter weekend in a hotel that was conveniently located near the train station and city center. The breakfast was one of the best parts, with an amazing selection of Japanese and Western options. Loved the metal bowl of noodles that we heated up ourselves, adding all the toppings we wanted. The onsen on the second floor was an added bonus and was the perfect way to relax after a long day of sightseeing.
The limited access to the room during cleaning hours was an inconvenience. It would have been nice to be able to use the room as a base during the day, instead of having to wait until the afternoon to return.

Our room had an exceptionally comfortable bed and a delightful view. Location : the hotel was near to central Hamamatsu, right between two of the underground access points, and two streets away from all the bars and restaurants as well as the the train station an under covermost of the way. There was Restaurant Figaro near the property.

We stayed in a room with two twin beds which was a fair size and had a handy bedside table. the breakfast was excellent with a great variety of Western and Japanese food, including a local specialty. the included happy hour drink had a great selection, including two sake options served in traditional vessels. the hotel is located near the main train and bus stations. Local attractions are also close by, as well as bars and restaurants.
The construction work nearby was a bit noisy, but it wasn't overwhelming. Most nearby eating places shut down between 2 and 5 pm which was a bit inconvenient for us.

The hotel's decoration was absolutely charming, with beautiful traditional Japanese elements throughout. The general areas were well-maintained and provided a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. As a senior woman, I really appreciated the hotel's accessibility. The hallways were wide and well-lit, making it easy for me to navigate with my cane. The elevators were also conveniently located and spacious, allowing me to move around without any difficulties.
The only thing I would ask for a better vacation for senior people is if the children working there could offer more assistance with carrying luggage. While the hotel was very accommodating in terms of accessibility, it would have been helpful to have some extra support for handling heavy suitcases.
